Author of My Soul

The pain of reconfiguration
As layers are peeled
And the ground of history ploughed
Broken body, messed up soul
Years of walking alone
Looking, digging, scratching
Longing for more
So He visits the old wounds
And tears away the scab - it smarts!
Wounds reopen tender and raw
Tornado of the soul, tears of the body
Every cell cries out - HELP! SAVE ME!

A crutch, a hand, a heart

A tear, a hug, a prayer
Where were you for 47 years?
Where were you?

Rennovation's begun

Vulnerable and fragile
Fear and caution
Take me by the hand
Lead me on
For I bare to be purged
I crash to be carried
I flush to be carressed

Hold me close

That I may feel and hear
And touch and see You once again
Author of my soul
