The Unseen Storm
Hidden in layers of yester years
Simmering beneath still waters
Rearing... looked like... submerged...
Wonders the shadows and smudges
Wither the push, wither the pull
East or West, up or down
Currents unseen, ripples befuddle
Wonders the flow and go
Pile upon pile, depth to depth
Thickens the prison walls
Softer and softer, cries from the depths
Wonders the silent listener
Springing forth, strangely new
Mazes and traces unsorted
Gripping, grasping, unrelenting hold
Wonders the unseen enemy
Splashing, splurging, whisking, whooshing
Where or Who or What am I?
Steady now the wheels...
Wonders the storm will subside
